Female entrepreneurship in a male-dominated industry

With courage and will, SAANA Water is born with the courage of two women entrepreneurs

Mrs. Baranyizigiye Alice and Mrs. Rukohoza Armelle , Burundian Women Entrepreneurs, have created a company called 'SANAA WATER SU (UNIPERSONAL COMPANY)' to contribute to individual and family development. As a great motivation, Mrs. Baranyizigiye Alice and Mrs. Rukohoza Armelle, had the idea of innovating the entrepreneurial sector in the production of mineral water because this sector was flooded only by men. With a year since SAANA water was born, Mrs. Baranyizigiye Alice and Mrs. Rukohoza Armelle, are making significant progress and are already demonstrating that a woman can do anything if she has the courage and the will in any production sector. .

SANNA Water has a whole range of necessary production machines but their spare parts and raw materials are to be imported.

2. “SAANA Water” Product Lines

SAANA WATER produces Mineral water, for 500 ml, 1.5 liters and 20 liters.

3. Market Access.

After production, all product ranges are marketed locally. The products are served in Bujumbura and SAANA Water intends to serve inside the country and outside Burundi in the near future.

4. Job Creation

Since its creation, SAANA WATER has already recruited 11 employees. Its supply comes from the province of Bujumbura Rural, especially in Mageyo.

5. Quantity Produced and Project Revenues

The quantity produced by SAANA WATER since its creation is 80,000 liters of mineral water, and the turnover is increasing day by day. Monthly revenue is up to 60,000,000 Fbu and expects to reach 150,000,000 Fbu per month in 2021.
