The authority issues the following:
• Register of Exporters
• Register of scientific and advisory offices
• Issuance of certificates of origin for Egyptian-origin and acquired Egyptian-origin goods:
The authority issues certificates of origin and passage for exports of goods of Egyptian origin or acquired of Egyptian origin exported to the countries between which and Egypt have bilateral, regional or multilateral trade agreements under which Egypt enjoys preferential transactions, except for what is mentioned in a special provision in any of these agreements.
The Authority undertakes the aforementioned activities within the framework of the following legislation:
• Law 118 of 1975 regarding import and export and the list of rules implementing its provisions issued by Ministerial Resolution No. 770 of 2005.
• Presidential Decree No. 106 of 2000
• Law 155 of 2002 regarding export development.
• Prime Minister's Decision 1186 of 2003
• Steps to be taken to register in the Exporters Register:
• About the service:
This service allows commercial customers to submit an application for registration in the Authority's exporters registry through the authority's electronic portal on the Internet, in order to save time and facilitate the cycle of procedures for commercial customers. Implementation of the service.

The main center in Cairo - branches (6th of October - Alexandria - Port Said - Suez - Damietta)

• Conditions for obtaining the service
 The customer must have an account for electronic services on the portal and activated.
 The procedure must be completed at the authority’s headquarters within 15 days from the date of submitting the application through the electronic portal.
• Required Documents
 The request for registration in the exporters’ register signed by the applicant, his agent or the legal representative of the person concerned, including data consistent with the data of the commercial register (original + copy).
 An official extract from the entry sheet in the commercial register valid, indicating the type of commercial activity and the date of registration, and that the capital is not less than 10,000 pounds for production projects or 25,000 pounds for other projects, provided that it includes export, trade or production activity.
 Complete the declaration of registration in the exporters' register, including the declaration of criminal status, signed by him personally before the employee in charge of the department, or approving the validity of the signature from the bank.
A copy of the identity document.
 Export practice certificate for the person responsible for exporting and a copy of his identity card.
 If the extract of the commercial register includes an authorized agent, the special documents are completed, such as the documents of the person concerned.
The prescribed fees and stamps are to be paid to the Authority's treasury, and the value of the fees prescribed for registration is fifty pounds.

Guidelines for exporting from Egypt

The strategy of the Egyptian Ministry of Commerce and Industry 2020 aims to increase the volume of Egyptian non-oil exports by 10% annually over the five years until 2020, to reach $30 billion.
Egyptian exports to the world witnessed an increase during the period from 2015 to 2018, reaching $29.2 billion in 2018, compared to $26.3 billion in 2017, $22.5 billion in 2016, and $22 billion in 2015. And the value of exports in the first half of 2019 increased by 2% to reach $15.3 billion during the period from January to June 2019, compared to $15 billion during the same period in 2018.
With regard to Egypt's exports to Africa, Egyptian exports to Africa increased by 27%, reaching $4.7 billion in 2018, compared to $3.7 billion in 2017.

General Organization for Export and Import Control:

It is a service organization that works to protect the consumer and preserve Egypt's reputation by examining commodity exports and imports, as well as preparing statistics on exports and imports, and the General Organization for Export and Import Control. In accordance with the provisions of Presidential Decree No. 378 of 1999, the General Authority for Export and Import Control is one of the bodies directly affiliated to the Minister of Trade and Industry .

In the event that the export activity begins in the facility, the export process may not be completed before the facility obtains a registration card in the exporters register. It is convened specifically for this, and the General Administration of Exporters Affairs issues a registration card for a period of five years, subject to renewal .
