Empowerment programs for women in Eritrea

In organizing capacity building programs, the core element that the Eritrean Women in Agribusiness Association (EWAA) focuses on is needs assessment to address the main challenge that members face, so that each member benefits to the maximum from the program. The Ministry of Agriculture, SMAP Institute of Training, Education and Consultancy, Eritrean National Chamber of Commerce are the main stakeholders sponsoring most of the programs of EWAA.
The National Union of Eritrean Women (NUEW) is the institution mandated to empower women economically, socially and politically so that they will play their role in the society. Similarly, the National Union of Eritrean Youth and Students (NUEYS) have different programs that empower women/girls economically and socially.
