Training in business management and accounting are opportunities for individuals who run businesses to document their business activities. A number institutions in Seychelles conduct this training and their details and programs are provided below.

Seychelles Business Studies Academy

The Seychelles Business Studies Academy (SBSA) offers training which has enormous employment potential. Both programs currently offered lead to a recognized local qualification validated by Seychelles Qualifications Authority as well as internationally recognized external qualifications, all of which employers can rely upon as evidence that the holder has been well trained and is ready to embark on a successful career in any business environment.

Diploma in Business Management and Administration

Mode of Study: 
18 weeks work-based experience training spread over the 3 years in slots of 4 weeks in year 1, 6 weeks in year 2 and 8 weeks in year 3.

Progression: Upon successful completion of the three years, students are eligible to apply for further training with the University of Seychelles to follow the ACCA (Association of Chartered Certified Accountants), or the BSC/BBA programme.

Upon successful completion of the three years, students are eligible to apply for further training with the University of Seychelles to follow the Access Route for a BSC in Business/Bachelor in Business Administration.

Diploma in Accounting and Finance

Mode of Study:
18 weeks work-based experience training spread over the 3 years in slots of 4 weeks in year 1, 6 weeks in year 2 and 8 weeks in year 3.

Progression:
Upon successful completion of the three years, students are eligible to apply for further training with the University of Seychelles to follow the ACCA (Association of Chartered Certified Accountants), or the BSC/BBA programme.

Successful graduates can also be eligible to follow the Advanced Diploma in Hotel Management at the Seychelles Tourism Academy.
 

Certificate in Office Administration 

Mode of study:
Part-time on one-day release from 8am to 5pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

Aims and objectives of the course:
To provide a gateway to opportunities for those wishing to acquire NQF Level 3 (Certificate) qualifications in the office administration field.

To empower learners to cope with the different challenges of the work field through acquisition of skills and competencies that will help boost their confidence and ensure delivery of quality work.

Association of Accounting Technicians (AAT)

Mode of Study
Part-time (Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays)

The Association of Accounting Technicians (AAT) is a UK qualification and professional body for vocational accountants with over 133,000 members worldwide.

AAT qualifications will suit you if:

You want to acquire new skills to help a career change.
You are a school leaver and looking for an introduction to Accounting & Finance.

Basic Training in QuickBooks Accounting Software
 

Mode of study:
Part-time on Saturdays from 8am to 12noon.

Aims and objectives of the course:
To provide opportunities for those wishing to acquire in-depth and industry-specific knowledge on the software package so they can tailor their accounting system to their specific needs.

To empower learners to Input and process data for business transactions including sales and purchases, receipts and payments, and to prepare management and period end reports.
