50 MAWSP

The ECOWAS Center for Gender Development organized, from 13 to 15 November 2019 in Dakar (Senegal), a regional workshop on the harmonization of information from ECOWAS Member States on the 50MAWSP platform. This technical meeting of the content managers of the 50MAWSP project from the 15 ECOWAS member countries aimed to finalize the format of the information and data published on the platform. The official launch of this regional workshop was chaired by Mr. Bolanle ADETOUN, Acting Director of the CEGD, Representing the Honorable Siga Fatima JAGNE, Commissioner for Social Affairs and Gender Issues of ECOWAS, in the presence of Mrs. Salimata THIAM , Senior Director responsible for EGDC Programs, Mr. Adame TOURE, EGDC IT Manager, Mr. Mahmoud KANE, ECOWAS 50MAWSP Project Coordinator, Mr. Edward SSEKALO, COMESA Regional Content Manager, the project team and participants from the 15 Member States of ECOWAS. The 50MAWSP project is an initiative funded by the African Development Bank and implemented by COMESA, ECOWAS and the Community of East African States. It aims to support and promote the empowerment of women entrepreneurs in Africa through the use of information and communication technologies.
