BEIJING (1995) + 25: BENIN TAKES ASSESSMENT OF ACTIONS IN FAVOR OF BENINESE WOMEN A validation workshop for the Beijing+ 25 country report has been held since the morning of Tuesday, October 22, 2019 at the Princess Hotel in Bohicon. An organized activity by the Ministry of Social Affairs and Microfinance, as a prelude to the 25th anniversary of the 4th World Conference on Women and the adoption of the Beijing Declaration and Platform for Action (1995). In his official opening speech, Mr. Nicolas DANDOGA, Chief of Staff of the Ministry of Social Affairs and Microfinance, representing the Minister for the occasion, reminded the participants of the importance of this document, the validation of which will enable Benin to comply with the requirements of the international community. He invited them to use their various experiences to develop a document that will honor Benin at the big sharing meeting in Addis Ababa next week and in March 2020 in New York. Mrs. Reine OUSSOU, Director of the Promotion of Women and Gender, took the opportunity to thank Minister Mèdessè Véronique TOGNIFODE MEWANOU for her personal involvement in the success of this workshop and the Technical and Financial Partners for their support.
