In 2019 Janice da Silva received four international awards in a three-month period. From August to October, Cape Verdean received the International Peace Leader certificate from the International Institute of International Peace Leaders. She has also been honored as the Global Goodwill Ambassador of the American Organization Five Points Youth Foundation for the SDGs and a member of the International Commission of United States Goodwill Ambassadors. She has also received certificates from the National Federation of Human and Humanitarian Rights as Ambassador to ECOWAS for humanitarian work and from Nigeria's Global Network of Socioeconomic and Financial Evolution for the African continent. Awarded the International Leader for Peace certificate for a period of three years, because of the work she has done in international organizations, especially the United Nations, for twenty years, she says that during this mandate she will be implementing peace and citizenship education activities.
