Under the aegis of the Ministry of Women, Family and Children, in partnership with the African Development Bank within the framework of the Economic and Financial Management Support Project (PAGEF), a study on strengthening of the national support mechanism for the empowerment of women in Côte d'Ivoire was launched in April 2019. The objective of this study was to provide the various national actors (public, private, civil society organizations) civil society) and technical and financial partners, a consensual tool for effective and relevant programming of women's empowerment actions in Côte d'Ivoire. It is in this context that a workshop is being held from October 16 to 18, 2019, in Bingerville. It aims to develop a National Strategy for the Empowerment of Women in Côte d'Ivoire. The Minister for Women, Family and Children, Bakayoko-Ly Ramata was represented at this workshop by Madam Secretary of State for Women's Empowerment, Myss Belmonde DOGO. She explained that quotthis workshop has the main objective of informing stakeholders working on the issue of women's empowerment in Côte d'Ivoire, the objectives and results of the study in order to promote its ownershipquot. According to the assistant coordinator of the economic and financial management support project (PAJEF), Victorien DERE, who led the follow-up to this study, this document proposes, in particular, the promotion of equal opportunities, equity and the full participation of women in decision-making, the improvement of living conditions and the situation of women and young girls, the promotion of their skills. At the end of the three days of reflection, the participants contributed to enriching the strategic document with a view to taking greater account of women in governance programmes''. The consolidated version at the end of this workshop was officially submitted by the Minister for Women, Family and Children, to the Secretary of State in charge of the empowerment of women, on December 10, 2019 .
