400 women have been trained in the management of Associations and, as a result, 16 associations recognized by law have been created.

With funding from Trade TradeMark East Africa (TMEA), a Menyesha-Nterimbere project is being implemented by the Association of Women Repatriated from Burundi (AFRABU) in collaboration with Partner Africa. This project, which started its activities in 2019, has already carried out two major activities, namely the training of Women in Small Cross-Border Trade (FPCT) on the Management of Associations, especially with regard to the change of mentality in the management of resources. 400 women were trained in the management of Associations and, as a result, 16 associations were created. So far, these 16 associations have a certificate of recognition issued by the local administrative authority. Another activity was the organization of a workshop on positive masculinity. The aim was to sensitize women who do small cross-border trade to a change of mentality in order to contribute to the functioning of their households thanks to the income from their businesses. In other words, women's income must contribute to the education of children and family development. This activity must continue to have tangible results within households.
