EAC postpones all meetings over corona virus

The East African Community suspends all planned meetings until further notice due to the global outbreak of novel coronavirus (Covid-19). It is after the Chairman of the EAC Council of Ministers Vincent Biruta, the Rwandan Minister of foreign affairs wrote to the EAC Secretary General Liberat Mpfumukeko, calling for the postponement of all EAC meetings that require large crowds. Consequently, a number of meetings that were planned for in the near future have been suspended, including the 21st EAC Summit for March, the EAC 40th Ordinary Council of Ministers scheduled for April 14 and many other meetings are affected by the Directive.
