International Day of Women and Girls in Science (IDGWS)

Since December 2015, February 11 has been adopted by the UN as the quotInternational Day of Women and Girls in Sciencequot (IDGWS). This celebration aims to promote the full and equal participation of women and girls in education, training, the labor market and decision-making processes in scientific fields, to eliminate all forms of discrimination against women, especially in the areas of education and employment.

Since December 2015, February 11 has been adopted by the UN as the quotInternational Day of Women and Girls in Sciencequot (IDGWS). This celebration aims to promote the full and equal participation of women and girls in education, training, the labor market and decision-making processes in scientific fields, to eliminate all forms of discrimination against women, especially in the areas of education and employment. In this vision, Ikala STEM, an association of volunteer women in the fields of STEM tending to promote science, education in Madagascar but also to promote the profile of Malagasy women scientists, joins in this celebration, and elsewhere as every year since 2017. This year: the celebration will be mainly marked by an event organized, in partnership with #COMNAT_UNESCO, UNESCO and the University of Antananarivo.
