Bridging Gaps Advisory in partnership with SheTrades Gambia organized the 3rd Edition of the Women’s Leadership Forum held on 7th November 2019 on the theme “The Power of Inclusion”. The occasion also witnessed the launching and Unveiling of the SheTrades Gender Champions led by the Minister of Women, Children and Social Welfare. The objectives of the forum included; I. The exchange between women and political and socio-economic leaders towards meaningful gender parity reforms. II. Consolidation of commitments in closing the gender gaps especially at decision making levels; III. Inspiration of the next generation of women leaders. The event brought together experienced speakers to talk on gains registered in the various thematic areas; “Gender Champions”, “Closing the Gender Gap” and “The Impact of Sexual Violence in the Workplace The Minister for Basic and Secondary Education, Hon. Claudiana Cole, in her Keynote address said that the national statistics indicate tremendous achievements made by women towards development in various sectors of the economy. Minister of Women, Children and Social Welfare, Hon Fatou Kinteh in officially launching the She Trades Gender Champions said the participation of women in the socio-economic sectors of the country should be embraced by different development institutions in the country, emphasizing that it will help in the realization of Womens’ meaningful contribution to nation building. The event was attended by Her Excellency The First Lady, the Honorable Speaker of the National Assembly, Ministers, Dignitaries, Heads of Institutions, Women and young entrepreneurs from different sectors of the economy.
