It is under this theme that the 14th edition of the Burkinabe Entrepreneurship Days will be held on November 13 and 14, 2019 in Ouagadougou. “In the economic development of Burkina Faso, agriculture is the sector with the most potential. It is a question of reflecting on this theme in order to allow each other to understand that there is still material and work in the agricultural sector”, justified the director general of the Maison de l company from Burkina (MEBF), Lancina Ki, evoking the theme of this edition. Initiated since 2006, the JEBs make it possible to celebrate each year the importance of the private sector in terms of the creation of wealth and jobs. Indeed, these days intend to facilitate the access of SMEs to useful information for development, through the linking of project promoters with financial institutions and professionals of non-financial services; to create frameworks for exchanges on subjects of concern to the private sector, to stimulate creativity and innovation in the creation and development of companies and finally, to recognize the merits of the actors of private sector development. This 14th edition, according to Lancina Ki, will also serve as a framework for the MEBF to highlight its activities. These include, among other things, pantouflage (supervision of retired people for their retraining in entrepreneurship), certification for consulting professions and security. In 13 editions, the JEB will train 8,629 project leaders (project set-up) and record 4,891 business plans.
