The eTrade for Women initiative, championed by United Nations Trade and Development (UNCTAD), invites women entrepreneurs in the digital and e-commerce sectors from 13 countries from English-speaking Africa to its Masterclass on 21-24 July 2026, in Nairobi, Kenya. The Masterclass is organized in partnership with Hilda Moraa, founder and CEO of Pezesha, and eTrade for Women Advocate for the region.

Who can apply?

To apply to the Masterclass, you need to meet the following requirements:

  • You are a woman and you are the founder/co-founder of your business
  • You have a track record of at least 3 years in this role
  • New technologies and digital tools are at the heart of your business model and operations
  • You are based in one of the following countries: Cameroon, Ethiopia, Gambia, Ghana, Kenya, Liberia, Nigeria, Rwanda, Sierra Leone, South Sudan, Sudan, Tanzania, Uganda
  • You are making a difference and creating a positive impact on your community

What to expect

The Masterclass will combine inspirational talks, learning sessions, policy dialogues and networking opportunities. All sessions will be delivered by renowned business leaders and industry experts.

Please note:

- Applicants who have previously participated in a Masterclass are not eligible to apply.

- Candidates from indigenous communities, marginalized groups and persons with disabilities are strongly encouraged to apply.

- The Masterclass is free of charge. Financial support for travel and accommodation may be available for selected applicants.
