THE NATIONAL FORUM FOR THE AUTOMATION OF WOMEN (FONAF) LAUNCHES ITS 3RD EDITION IN AGADEZ.

06 Nov 2019 - 00:00:00
As part of the promotion of women and youth entrepreneurship in Niger, the National Forum for the Automation of Women (FONAF) held its 3rd edition from October 28 to 31, 2019 in the Agadez region. . A framework for reflection and the exchange of ideas between women and young people in Niger, it is placed under the theme “ICTs and agriculture, alternatives to immigration”. FONAF 2019 in Agadez is a platform for meetings, exchanges of ideas and networking between women and youth in the region and those from other cities in the country. For four (4) days, they had the opportunity to present their ideas and transform them into projects. Projects that will undoubtedly allow the women of the said locality to be independent, in order to meet their needs and become seasoned entrepreneurs. As for young people, this forum is an opportunity to arouse in them the will to undertake their own projects. In doing so, the promoters of FONAF intend to fight against unemployment, keep the youth of Agadez away from certain vices and acts of banditry and reduce the number of candidates for irregular immigration. These women and young people from the Agadez region also benefited from training on important practical themes during this forum. Exhibitions and private sales were also on the menu. For these young exhibitors, it was a question of identifying themselves, distinguishing themselves and asserting themselves. This forum also mobilized business leaders from the private sector to support, engage and train more young people and women in companies. This initiative has also, on the one hand, facilitated access to internships for these young people and, on the other hand, has allowed them easier professional integration.
