Nigeria's Minister for Women Affairs, Dame Pauline K. Tallen, handed over seed capital to 250 Nigerian Women entrepreneurs, to help cushion the effect of COVID-19 on their businesses.

The Honourable Minister for Women Affairs for Nigeria, Dame Pauline K. Tallen OFR, KSG, after a 2-Day Workshop organised by the Federal Ministry of Women Affairs tagged, 'The Business of Today for Women Entrepreneurs', which took place on the 20th to 21st August 2020, at the National Merit Awards House, Abuja, and which had both on-site and online participants, handed over seed capital to 250 Nigerian Women entrepreneurs. The seed capital was to to help cushion the effect of COVID-19 on their businesses, as they were the most affected by the pandemic, which led to global shutdown of economies and economic activities, and which also led to restrictions on movement of persons in Nigeria. The women were taught during the workshop how to manage their businesses in view of the new global realities, such as digital marketing, financial management, and customer retention.
