NWEC organizes National Women Entrepreneurs Award
The National Women Entrepreneurs Award 2024 will celebrate women entrepreneurs for their outstanding contributions to business and society.
The Ministry of Gender Equality and Family Welfare of Mauritius, in collaboration with the National Women Entrepreneur Council (NWEC), is organizing the National Women Entrepreneurs Award 2024. The Award aims at recognizing the overall excellence and achievements of women entrepreneurs, registered with the National Women Entrepreneur Council. It celebrates the women entrepreneurs behind a game-changing environment. In doing so, the Ministry of Gender Equality and Family Welfare seeks to raise awareness of the need for more women entrepreneurs, and hence create role models for the next generation to follow their footsteps.
The National Women Entrepreneurs Award 2024 will celebrate women entrepreneurs for their outstanding contributions to business and society. The competition is open to all women entrepreneurs registered with the National Women Entrepreneur Council. The entrepreneurs must be a female founder, co-founder or senior decision maker with a registered micro or SME business number which has been operating for at least one year.
There are three awards available:
The Outstanding Women Entrepreneurs Award
• A prize of Rs 100,000 - awarded to the most outstanding woman entrepreneur already in business and registered with the National Women Entrepreneur Council. The recipient will also have a trophy and a certificate of recognition.
• A prize of Rs. 75,000 - awarded to the first runner up. The recipient will also have a trophy and a certificate of recognition.
• A prize of Rs. 50,000 - awarded to the Second runner up. The recipient will also have a trophy and a certificate of recognition.
