Madagascar Cultural and Creative Industry Fair – SICC

From September 27, 28 and 29, a range of activities will be on the agenda

19 Sep 2019 - 00:00:00
A great first in Madagascar. A platform for bringing together cultural activists is being set up to organize a major festival to promote the Malagasy cultural and creative industry. With its exhibition, sales and exchange stands with artists, partners and the general public, the Madagascar Cultural and Creative Industry Fair – SICC promises to be a great initiative to push this sector which remains very unfortunately stammering in the big island. However, the talents are numerous and the Malagasy youth have great potential. The Festival also aims to be a space for expression and solidarity between artists, the public and the organizers through responsible joint action. From September 27, 28 and 29, a range of activities will be on the agenda. Exhibitions, concerts, workshops in different places of the Capital of Madagascar. Also note that free shows will also be accessible to everyone on the site and in several places in the city. The SICC will also be previewed on September 25, 2019 at the DAGO FESTIVAL which is organized by the DagoTeamZara Collective. It is part of an initiative of young actors concerned with the Malagasy cultural/artistic sector. The idea is to show/hear talents that are often overlooked or even neglected by existing structures. The Goethe-Zentrum Antananarivo/CGM will host the DAGO FESTIVAL for two days for debates on cultural themes which will be followed by various show cases.
