TOGO 31 JULY 2019 AFRICAN WOMEN'S DAY

Every July 31, African Women's Day is celebrated across all African countries. For this 2019 edition, the NGO ENTREPRENEURS DU MONDE in collaboration with its various partners celebrated Togolese women entrepreneurs. Placed under the theme “role of women in the fight against climate change”, this meeting brought together more than 1,000 women holders of an income-generating activity from various backgrounds in Lomé. Through sketches and small communications, these women were made aware of the role that each of them plays and will play in the fight against climate change. Climate change, the effect of which is felt by both women and men. Apart from the theme chosen for this day, the activities of the NGO ENTREPRENEURS DU MONDE and its support program for entrepreneurship and the professional integration of young people and women MIAKODO, the activities of MIVO ENERGIE and those of ASSILASSIMÉ SOLIDARITY were presented to women. These women were also informed about the existence of the “50 million African women have their say” platform, the benefits to be derived from its use and especially the upcoming availability of this platform. For the occasion, some partners present renewed their commitment to the economic empowerment of Togolese women. To give a special touch to this celebration, 4 groups of women were rewarded for their commitment, their dynamism, their loyalty and their promptness in reimbursing the loans granted by the microfinance institution ASSILASSIMÉ SOLIDARITÉ. And four women rewarded for making the best sales with MIVO ENERGIE. It should be noted that ASSYLASSIME SOLIDARITY is a microfinance company that supports women by granting them credit without repayment rate and without guarantee of up to five million (5,000,000) FCFA to carry out various income-generating activities.
