Organized by the Women, Democracy and Development (GF2D) reflection and action group, the fifth edition of the women's rights fair is being held in Lomé from August 21 to 23, 2019 on the Hédzranawoé market esplanade. The objective of this fair is to help make respect for women's rights a reality for their well-being and for the development of their communities. For this edition, the chosen theme is quotinnovating for a better participation of women in developmentquot. The women's rights fair is an opportunity for all the women and young girls of Lomé and its surroundings to benefit from certain advantages linked to their rights, to come and present their legal problems to the judges, lawyers and notaries solicited by the GF2D for the occasion. Throughout these three days, several activities open to the general public are planned, among other things, talks and debates on several themes such as alimony, the filiation of a child born out of wedlock, the importance of administrative documents, obstetric fistula, women's reproductive health and the importance of blood donation will be discussed. Entrepreneurship advice, practical workshops led by entrepreneurship professionals, legal consultations and women's health consultations are also planned. At the end of the fair of nationality and birth certificates, additional judgments will be issued to beneficiaries free of charge, as will HIV and breast cancer screenings as well as family planning services.
