TOGO: EIGHTH EDITION OF THE INTERNATIONAL AGRICULTURE AND AGRI-FOOD SHOW IN LOMÉ IN TOGO…FROM THE EARTH TO THE TABLE

The 2019 edition of the Lomé International Agriculture and Food Fair (SIALO) officially opened its doors on Tuesday, October 08, 2019. For a week, actors from the agricultural world will be in the spotlight. The event which aims to be a showcase for the enhancement and promotion of local agricultural products through the connection of actors and professionals in agriculture, livestock, fishing, agri-food, gastronomy, will take place on the traditional site of CETEF Togo 2000 from October 08 to 14, 2019. Placed under the theme quotThe PND, a real opportunity for the agricultural sectorquot, the activities of this edition will be furnished by exhibitions, presentations , conference-debates, B2B meetings and networking sessions. SIALO 2019 will also promote the cashew, cassava and soy sectors. These sectors will be entitled to thematic days. Moreover, traditional baking, packaging and youth agro-entrepreneurship will not be left out. The 2019 edition of the Lomé International Agriculture and Agrifood Show (SIALO) revives the competition dedicated to young agricultural entrepreneurs, which aims to promote excellence and innovation in agricultural entrepreneurship and will be endowed with a prize pool of four and a half million FCFA in total. Young people with agricultural projects are therefore invited to compete, with three prizes in their sights. The winners of the competition will respectively leave in order of merit with two million FCFA, one and a half million FCFA and one million FCFA. A fourth special prize is also announced. This is a decorated stand for the 2020 edition of SIALO which will be offered by Central Communication. Applications will be received from October 8 to 10, 2019. Only successful candidates will be evaluated through a short presentation during the night of SIALO. In addition to the Togolese, exhibitors are expected from Benin, Ghana, Niger, Burkina etc.
