TOGO: Launch of an agricultural and food exchange

Togo now has an online Agricultural and Food Exchange https://boursesagricoles.tg/. The Minister of Agriculture Mr. Bataka Koutera, on tour Tuesday in Tsévié (Zio Prefecture), officially launched the marketplace of this platform. Initiated by the authorities in charge of the sector to help facilitate the marketing of food and agricultural products, this exchange also aims to provide real-time access to a maximum of data flows on transactions carried out in terms of volume and price of stocks. From agricultural inputs to food, animal and fish products processed and packaged in Togo, the platform brings together a variety of products at affordable prices for the buyer. Its constitution had been the subject of a call for a census launched by the ministry for all agricultural entrepreneurs. “This platform must serve as a corridor for the flow of products,” recalled the Minister. On the sidelines of this launch, the Minister, accompanied by several government partners, visited a corn flour manufacturing plant located in the city. Source Togo Official
