12 Jul 2019 - 00:00:00
Togo, after its participation in the training on the use of the platform quot50 million African women have the floorquot organized by the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) in Saly in the Republic of Senegal on June 26 and 27, 2019, on Thursday July 11, 2019 validated the data collected to feed this platform. A Validation, chaired by Mrs. Claudine OTIMI, Director of Cooperation and Promotion of Women's Economic Activities (DCPAEF) at the Ministry of Social Action, Promotion of Women and Literacy (MASPFA), Ministry in charge of the project. During the validation meeting, the members of the project's country team had to look at the data collected by the project's local content manager and consultant. Data collected from different structures in the country. Business registration, market access, access to financing and capacity building, among others, are the various information that should be fed into the platform. This information should also meet the information needs of Togolese women entrepreneurs in order to further unlock their economic potential and strengthen their economic power. It should be recalled that the quot50 million African women have a voicequot project is an initiative of the African Development Bank (AfDB), in partnership with the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS), the Common Market Eastern and Southern Africa (COMESA) and the East African Community (EAC). It aims to facilitate the empowerment of women through the creation of a virtual platform for networking and information sharing with the aim of improving their ability to access financial and non-financial information.
