Training in development of Bankable Business Plans

The Burundi Investment Promotion Agency (API) is organizing a training workshop in techniques for designing and drafting bankable business plans and raising awareness of investment and job creation opportunities in Burundi, and in the intention of young potential investors in Burundi. The objective of this training is to strengthen the capacities of twenty-five (25) young graduates anxious to create jobs and already having a more or less innovative idea of what they would like to undertake. The API hopes that this training will encourage young people to invest and create jobs as a result of the knowledge they will have on designing and writing a bankable business plan. This investment agency in Burundi also intends to sensitize participants on the advances in terms of improving the business climate in Burundi in the light of the reforms carried out or in progress as well as on the investment opportunities available. These young people will have training in developing and managing projects or entrepreneurship and/or setting up business plans, the characteristics of an acceptable project to be financed by a Bank or Microfinance, reforms aimed at improving the business climate, investment and job creation opportunities in Burundi and without forgetting the sharing of experiences and know-how. At the end of this training, one to five best ideas for potentially innovative and bankable projects will be identified for appropriate follow-up in terms of support and coaching. This training targets young potential investor graduates from the southern and central provinces of Makamba, Bururi, Rumonge, and Mwaro, desiring to promote investments.
