Business management training for women entrepreneurs in Eritrea

Business management entails the planning, organizing of tasks, monitoring and efficient utilization of the resources of a business. It is an essential skill for starting and running businesses which will enable them to make their business successful. Businesses have a better chance to succeed if they utilize limited resources efficiently. In addition, how to run a business in an ethical way, managing a business' social responsibility, fair competition and legal obligations are some of the aspects any women entrepreneur should concern herself with.

Ministry of Tourism (MoT)

The mission of the Ministry of Tourism is to make Eritrea one of the best African tourism destinations through its reliable and sustainable tourism developments. The ministry is mandated to develop and promote the national policy on tourism, to prepare tourism development plans for the country and to issue tourism enterprises with permits. 

TRAINING PROVIDED

The Ministry of Tourism has two programs of training: 

• The regular class training takes 6 months for the theoretical and practical training and 
• The upgrading training takes between 3 days and 2 weeks. 

AVAILABLE RESOURCES

Physical library is accessible to trainees and staff.

Additional services which are beneficial to women entrepreneurs
Advising and consulting services to establish and run tourism service providing firms. 

EVENTS BY MoT

• World Tourism Organization Day is an event organized by the Ministry of Tourism and the association of enterprises which provide tourism service providing  annually. 
• As a member of World Tourism Organization, Eritrea also participates in World Tourism Day events organized by host countries.
