The Association of Small Scale Enterprises in Responsible Tourism (ASSERT)
ASSERT is a membership based organization established in the early 2000s to bring together and support medium and small size business in Tourism and related activities. They help their members develop and adopt sustainable practices in the industry through Advocacy, Networking, Marketing support, Trainings and Sustainability assessments. Their members range from beach bar operators, juicers and fruit sellers, craft markets, restaurants, accommodation providers (ecolodges….), youth associations, community initiatives (women gardens …), entrepreneurs and local products producers, training institutions as well as permaculture/agro-ecology champions.

The American Chamber of Commerce (AmCham) is a non-political, non-profit making private sector membership based organization.
The main purpose of AmCham is to promote and facilitate trade between The Gambia and the United States of America as well as bringing in investors from the United States to the Gambia.
It also promotes Entrepreneurship development and helps start-up and businesses to grow and expand.
They organize the following activities;
Trade Shows; International Food and Beverage Expo, Housing Expo, International Poultry Expo, Livestock Value Chain Expo.
