All the other countries not appearing on the list, obtaining a visa is obligatory before departure, the procedure for obtaining a visa depends from one country to another.

The validity of the passport must always cover a period of six months beyond the date scheduled for departure .

For those in provinces where there is no diplomatic representation, applicants can consult visa facilitation agencies for assistance.

In addition, obtaining a visa is necessary for any foreign person wishing to enter Congolese territory. However, specific agreements with certain states set specific exceptions :

  • Nationals of Rwanda, Burundi, Congo Brazzaville and Zimbabwe are exempt from visa.
  • Nationals of Kenya, Mauritius, Tanzania can obtain a visa upon arrival at a border post with a validity of seven days .

All other nationalities from countries in which there is a Congolese diplomatic representation ( Embassies or Consulates ), are subject to the prior obtaining of a visa before coming to the DRC. These diplomatic missions will ensure that all the necessary conditions are met.

The formalities and the price of the visa vary according to the applicant 's country of residence . It is therefore advisable to approach the diplomatic missions ( Embassies or Consulates ) in order to consult the information corresponding to your country of residence.
