Immigration information for Zambia
The Immigration Department is responsible for regulating the movement of persons entering and leaving the country as well as controlling the stay of immigrants and visitors, to contribute to internal peace and the socio-economic well-being of Zambia. The mandate of the Department is to enforce the Immigration and Deportation Act No 18 of 2010 of the Laws of Zambia.
Countries whose citizens do not require a Visa to enter Zambia:
- Citizens from the Common Market for Eastern and Southern Africa (COMESA) countries*. [See list of COMESA Member States]
*Note: There is an EXCEPTION for those COMESA countries that subject Zambians to a Visa requirement.
- Citizens from the Southern Africa Development Community (SADC) countries, EXCEPT Madagascar and Democratic Republic of Congo whose passport holders apply for Visa upon arrival. [See list of SADC Member States]
