The Egyptian Strategy for Financial Education Future Steps:

Egypt has been keen to develop the first national strategy for financial evaluation during the past years, as the Egyptian Banking Institute, which is the training arm of the Central Bank of Egypt, is building the capabilities of financial institutions to better serve women through customized financial products and services. Recently, for example, Banque Misr signed a cooperation agreement with the International Finance Corporation (IFC) to provide banking products and services to support women's economic empowerment and financial inclusion.

On the other hand, all banks are now encouraged to report on the number of women consumers who use their various products, as well as the number of financial products targeted for women and the number of women beneficiaries.

About the council:

The National Council for Women is an independent national council, affiliated to the President of the Republic. It was established by Law No. 30 of 2018. About the device:

The Enterprise Development Agency is the entity concerned with developing medium, small and micro enterprises and entrepreneurship, either directly or through coordinating the efforts of all agencies, NGOs and initiatives working in the field of these projects, or through the companies it establishes or contributes to.

  • Ashan tomorrow (education and financial services initiative):

The Egyptian Banking Institute launched the “Ashan Bakra” initiative in 2012, which is a national initiative under the auspices of the Central Bank of Egypt in the field of financial education and the development of financial products and services that suit all segments of Egyptian society. The Institute of Banking has been keen to know and apply the best international practices through its membership in international organizations that work extensively in the field of financial education and education, such as the International Network for Financial Education of the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development.

Organizations and individuals can participate in the Ashan Bakra initiative. Organizations (eg banks and financial institutions) can develop financial products suitable for children and youth, sponsor or develop projects such as financial education/education focused on marginalized areas, and implement awareness campaigns.
