  1. Women’s Complaints Office of the National Council for Women:

Services provided by the office

  • Providing free legal and social advice.
  • Refer complaints to the competent authorities and follow them up.
  • Referring complaints that require recourse to the judiciary to volunteer lawyers who cooperate with the office through the legal aid program.
  • Preparing reports and studies on the problems facing Egyptian women.
  • Providing psychological and legal support to battered women, submitting them to the competent authorities, and recommending solutions for them, in cooperation with civil society.
  • The Complaints Office cooperates directly with the Unit for Combating Violence against Women, which is affiliated with the Human Rights and Community Outreach Sector at the Ministry of Interior.
  • The office cooperates with the Women and Child Rights Sector at the Ministry of Justice to coordinate efforts to eliminate violence against women in coordination with the Ministries of Interior - Health - Social Solidarity.

The importance of reproductive health and its programs:

It is a state of well-being and safety, physically, mentally, psychologically, and socially in all matters related to the reproductive process, its organs and functions, and not just the absence of diseases and related disabilities. It is part of public health and reflects the health level of men and women of childbearing age. Health care is provided to women during their entire lifespan, not just the reproductive period.

Treatment of immune diseases:

The Egyptian government is fighting HIV and AIDS in line with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals 2030, and Egypt is considered one of the countries with low prevalence among the general population.

The Ministry of Health takes many steps to eradicate AIDS within the Republic. The Ministry of Health sets its eradication as a goal of the Egyptian national program to maintain Egypt as a country with a low prevalence of AIDS. The program seeks to eliminate AIDS as a public health problem by 2030.

The following are the procedures for treating an AIDS patient in complete secrecy, according to the Egyptian Ministry of Health:

  • If the patient feels weak immunity, this may be a cause of AIDS infection, so he must go immediately to the nearest health point.
  • In the event that an AIDS patient is confirmed to have contracted the infection, he should go to the nearest center for examination, dispense the necessary treatment, and take care of the disease itself. There are more than 14 centers in 14 governorates across the country for the treatment of AIDS.
