quotWomen's Thursdayquot a brilliant human adventure

Lizah NDRIALISOA is a brilliant and committed woman who has combined entrepreneurship and her fight for women's rights. At 42, married and mother of three children, Lizah shows us that social enterprises are a tangible and effective development model for African countries.

She is the founder of an association called “Jeudi des femmes” whose primary goals are to promote human rights and put an end to economic violence against women.

For this, it has launched a production unit for zero waste products, whose flagship product is the kraft paper delivery bag, to replace plastic products. This flagship, ecological and solidarity product is currently used by the biggest brands in Madagascar: from cosmetics to clothing. These customizable bags are also used by large companies.

Starting with a great intention to help women, the organization now has almost twenty employees. Lizah got into local development 13 years ago. In the midst of the social crisis of 2009, she naturally thought of a project to support Malagasy women in the post-crisis period. For they were going to be the lifesavers of their home, the pillars never brought down. Lizah also delved into psycho-social issues and domestic violence issues. This is how she coordinated the BABEO project with great hope and multiple support for 3 years. The actions aimed to combine psychological and sociological support, personal coaching, microfinance and the development of a network of nurseries for women.

These initiatives put her definitively on the path of entrepreneurship and the emancipation of women. From there was born the Malagasy association JEUDI DES FEMMES ENTREPRENEURES of which she is the president and which includes the Eco Sacs JEUDI unit.

For this talented woman, the current obstacles to the sustainability of her activities remain problems related to land and access to property. Indeed, his organization does not yet own the place where the production takes place. One of the organization's objectives is therefore to be able to secure their production site by having a real, larger and well-equipped room to install the workers. This stability will facilitate investments in new production equipment.

“We always wanted to do something that made sense for the future and for the planet, hence the importance of the zero waste sector. We have succeeded in the bet of keeping the association alive and giving more income to women who need it. We are witnesses that a woman can come out of her suffering, of all forms of violence, by dint of undertaking, of work and thanks to training on various themes. »
